Mobile and desktop application for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and CarPlay

This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled in connection with the Classical 90.9 WSCS application (the "App"), published for Classical 90.9 WSCS, a service of Sugar River Foundation, Inc. ("we","us","our").

Apple requires apps distributed on the App Store to provide a publicly accessible privacy policy. This document is intended to meet that requirement and to explain, in plain language, what the App does and does not do with your information.

1. Summary

The App is a classical radio listening application. It plays our live audio stream, shows schedule and recently played information, and may display album artwork. The App does not require an account, does not sell personal information, and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

2. Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information through the App.

The App may store the following information on your device only:

• App preferences you choose (for example, appearance mode, auto-play on launch, album artwork display, and, on Mac, whether to show the menu bar player).
• Temporary caches of playlist data and images to improve performance and reduce repeated network requests.

This information stays on your device unless you clear the App's cache, delete the App, or otherwise remove local data using your device settings.

3. Information Processed Through Network Requests

When you use the App, your device necessarily communicates with servers over the internet. Those servers may automatically receive standard technical information associated with any internet connection, such as your IP address, approximate timing of the request, and a generic user-agent string. We do not use the App to build advertising profiles.

Depending on features you use, the App may contact:

• Our audio streaming provider, to deliver the live Classical 90.9 WSCS stream.
• Our playlist and related station services, to show recently played selections and related program information.
• Station website and publicly available FCC Public Inspection File pages, when you choose to open those links from the App.
• Apple’s publicly available iTunes Search API, solely to look up album artwork related to classical selections (when album artwork is enabled).
• Apple system services used for playback, Now Playing metadata, CarPlay, and distribution of the App itself.

Third parties that operate those services process connection data according to their own privacy practices. We use them only to operate core App features (streaming, schedule / playlist display, artwork, and system integration).

4. How We Use Information

Information described above is used only to:

• Provide live audio playback and related listening features.
• Display schedule, now-playing, and recently played information.
• Show optional album artwork.
• Remember your in-app settings on your device.
• Support CarPlay and system media controls where available.

We do not use App data for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

5. Tracking, Advertising, and Analytics

The App does not use App Tracking Transparency / IDFA advertising identifiers for cross-app tracking. The App does not include third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics / crash-reporting SDKs.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information collected through the App. Limited technical information is shared with the service providers needed to operate streaming, playlist / schedule content, artwork lookup, and Apple platform features, as described in Section 3.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of our listeners, the App, or others, where legally permitted.

7. Data Retention

Preferences and caches are retained on your device until you change settings, clear cache in the App (where available), or remove the App. We do not operate an App-specific user account database for Classical 90.9 WSCS listening.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience classical radio application and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through other station channels, contact us using the information below and we will take appropriate steps.

9. Your Choices

You can:

• Disable album artwork in Settings so the App does not query Apple's iTunes Search API for cover art.
• Turn off auto-play and other preference toggles in Settings.
• Clear cached artwork from Settings (where available).
• Stop network activity by closing the App / stopping playback, or uninstall the App.
• Use device-level privacy and network controls provided by Apple.

10. International Users

The App may be used wherever it is available. Network providers and Apple services may process technical information in the United States or other locations where they operate. By using the App, you understand that your device will communicate with those services as needed for the features you use.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The Effective date at the top will be revised when material changes are made. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.

Apple requires a publicly reachable HTTPS URL for this Privacy Policy in App Store Connect. Website operators may upload this PDF (or publish the same content as an HTML page) and provide a stable URL, for example:

Use that URL (or the HTML page URL) as the Privacy Policy URL in App Store Connect.
